Pirate Days

By Andrea Deuster

Pirate, pirate, grumpy old guy,
has a wooden leg and a patch on his eye.
They sail the sea for many a year,
the meanest they say is old Black Beard.
He stabbed ‘em and jabbed ‘em and killed ‘em for gold,
shot ‘em with a musket or so I am told.
Round Robins were signed by the unhappy crew,
who started the list, the captain never new.
Now shiver me timbers and blow me away,
I'm glad I didn't live in those bad pirate days!
