December 2002 Dear Micaela, My favorite place in Alaska is Cordova. I went on a ferry to get there and I stayed in a hotel with my dad and my brother. We went birdwatching by a beach and part of the time I went down to the beach and played and for some of the time I watched birds with my dad. We saw geese, swans, ptarmigan, and we saw trumpeter swans. That’s my favorite place in Alaska. Your friend, Halley
