I'm having a blast at Beaver Lake just north of Anchorage! This morning there was fog over the lake and we couldn't see across. After a few minutes the fog cleared, but some still hovered over the lake. The lake looked like it was steaming. We went out in the canoe to be in the fog. Later, when the sun was high overhead, we went swimming. The water was FREEZING! Kathy sat in the inner tube and the rope came untied from the dock. I saved her using the paddle boat! Tonight under the stars, we're going to build a huge bonfire and roast marshmallows. This just has to be the greatest place in Alaska!
