Dear Colleen,
My mom and I hiked to Heritage Falls, right outside of Eagle River, Alaska. I’m sitting on a rock next to a babbling creek no more than ten feet away from my tent! My mother and I hiked out here for the night. To think that this peaceful site is only twenty minutes away from the city of Anchorage! I love being able to look up and be surrounded by mountains sky high, trees in every shade of green, and the sound of rushing water in the background. Occasionally the birds will fly over and sing to us. It’s great. I wish you could be here, too.
