Dear Readers, My favorite place in Alaska depends on the weather. When there is snow, it is in my front and side yards, because they are the best places I know of. But in the summer, it would have to be my family’s outdoor swimming pool. Although it is the coldest pool I know of, it is also the most refreshing.      Steve Burgoyne
