My favorite place in Alaska is Girdwood. Girdwood has the best snow resort in Alaska. It is not so far away from Valdez. I usually go there every spring break to snowboard. I like how large the resort is, with all of the ski lifts. With so many ski lifts, sometimes it is hard to choose which one to go on. I accidentally got lost in some trees and ended up in an avalanche area and I got in trouble, but no matter how much I get in trouble, Girdwood will still be my favorite ski resort. David Ayotte
