One place I like is the barn loft. It is a dim and dusty room right up under the roof. In the loft there are sacks of grain, sometimes stacked to make a fort. Once my friend Allison came with me and there was a fort made. We played we were escaping from the Nazis. It was cold and dark. We pushed a pillow between the wall and the sacks of grain to make it warmer. We were hiding in the fort, pretending the enemy was outside. We would peek to see if they were coming.
