Heidi's Postcard from Her Fort House

Heidi's drawing

My fort house is a great place to go because there are lots of wilderness sounds like birds and my cat chasing mice. It is quiet sometimes. It‘s at the bottom of a hill behind my house. I have to go though trees to get to the fort.

I think about fixing it up like putting some blankets around the trees to make walls. One for the ceiling, one for the back wall, one for the left wall, one for the right wall, and one for the door that can open and close. I might even put an old blanket on the ground to sit on.

Sometimes when I’m mad or sad I go there. It makes me feel free like an animal. I love to go there all the time. Sometimes I let my friends go there but not all the time. I‘m happy it’s mine.
