Costa (played by Nora) and Anna (played by Samantha) contemplate entering the freaky forest.

Narrator
|
(from the rooftop, out of the way) Once on an island far, far away, there lived two kittens named Costa and Anna. They wanted to go on an adventure in the freaky forest. Even though their parents told them not to, they went to the edge of the forest.

Costa
|
Let's go in now"
|
|
Anna
|
It's really dark in there. I don't want to go in!
|
|
Costa
|
Why not?
|
|
Anna
|
Because there might be ghosts or goblins in there.
|
|
Costa
|
Well, we are bad luck to other creatures so they cannot hurt us.
|
|
Anna
|
I'm not sure about this.
|
|
Narrator
|
So they went in and started to follow a small, dimly lit path. Suddenly --
|

Costa
|
Ouch.
|
|
Narrator
|
They bumped into a tree! (Robert behind tree, throws pine cone at Anna, front)
|
|
Anna
|
Ouch! Something hit me!
|
|
Narrator
|
Anna looked up and saw the fir tree Costa had bumped into was flinging pinecones at them.
|
|
Anna
|
Let's -- Ouch! -- Get out -- Ouch! -- of here!
|
|
Costa
|
I -- Ouch! -- agree!
|
|
Narrator
|
Suddenly a black figure scurried up the tree about four feet. Immediately the tree froze. Then the black figure disappeared into the darkness of the forest.

Costa
|
Whew, that was a close call!
|
|
Anna
|
I agree, but what was that thing?
|
|
Costa
|
I think it was a mad tree.
|
|
Anna
|
Not that thing -- the other thing!
|
|
Costa
|
Beats me.
|
|
Narrator
|
They continued on walking
|
INTERMISSION (5 minutes)
(with beverages and cookies for sale, 5 cents each)
Costa, (played by Nora), Anna (played by Samantha), and Nellie (played by Makenzie) speak to the dragon.

Narrator
|
They were still walking when, on the path ahead, they saw a menacing, hunched over, black figure. Suddenly Anna and Costa both let out a meow at exactly the same time. They had realized it was a dragon.

Costa
|
I wonder which kind it is?
|
|
Narrator
|
It's a Swedish Smokescreen. (Narrator holds dictionary open and reads) Sweedish Smoke-screen. An immensely fierce dragon that breathes a heavy smoke.
|
|
Anna/Costa
|
Ohhhhhh.
|
|
Narrator
|
The dragon started towards them with its mouth wide open. Then the dark shape they had seen earlier walked over to the dragon. They talked in a foreign language.

Nellie
|

|

Nellie
|
Assam writhlada harnusom.
|

Dragon
|

|

Costa and Anna meet Nellie, while the narrator looks on from above.

The dragon stomps away. The figure walks toward them and introduces herself.

Hi. My name is Nellie and I am a --

|
Weasel!!!

Nellie
|
No. I'm a Norpit!
|

Anna/Costa
|
You're a what?
|
|
Nellie
|
I'm a Norpit!

What's that?

Narrator
|
(again, reading from the dictionary) Norpit. Nor-pit. A weasel-like creature with a jewel in their forehead.

Costa
|
Oh! Well okay then! Bye!

|
Wait! How about you come to my house for dinner!?

|
OK!
|

Narrator
|
So they all went to Nellie's house, had dinner, and then she escorted them home.
|

Anna
|
Bye!

Costa
|
Come visit us soon!

|
I will! Bye!
