Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be the only passenger on a ship? You’ll find that out and more including how precarious life was at sea during the 1830s. Especially with mutiny, hurricanes and a mean captain who beats the crew to death and jumps to false conclusions. Charlotte Doyle is in this position as she is sailing to America to meet her father and with the help of one of the crew she survives the voyage.

I felt transported by this adventure it was hard to put down as are all books by Avi.
