Silver and the Fox
By Acacia Johnson
One cold winter day, a fox went out to hunt. He was very hungry and told himself he would not stop hunting until he caught something.
As soon as he began looking around, he came to a clearing with a tall rock in the middle. He thought that maybe he could climb the rock and find his prey easier that way.
So he climbed the rock and sure enough he saw lots of little animals.
All of a sudden he heard the sound of a plane! He made it easier for the hunters in the plane to shoot the fox. They got him in the leg! Then they left.
There was a wolf pack who lived nearby. The whole pack was out of food, so they went hunting. Their favorite food was fox. They split up. One went north, one went south, one went east, one went west.
But one wolf, Silver, she saw the fox and went to inspect him. Silver was very sorry for him. All of a sudden the hunters came back! Silver quickly dragged the fox into the forest. Then he woke up and thanked Silver for saving his life.
